Around the perimeter of our beautiful ten acres you will find 12 prayer stations. The Prayer Walk is available year-round (weather permitting), and our congregation often uses it for special prayer events.

The prayer room is conveniently located in the foyer area. It is available whenever the building is open. Every Sunday morning, one can find volunteers praying over our worship service in this room.

When we pray for others, we often give them a prayer cloth as a tangible reminder that someone loves them and is praying for them. Prayer cloths are available in the sanctuary and the prayer room. If you would like one, please enter your need in the form above and mention that you would like a prayer cloth.

Prayer Ministry Mission
The Prayer Ministry at MCC seeks to be a connector, supporting the development of a prayer relationship with God for every man, woman, young person, and child. We believe that prayer declares utter dependence on God and therefore we seek to be not merely a church with a prayer ministry, but a praying church! Prayer Ministry objectives:

  • Champion the call to prayer.
  • Become a church of prayer through belief that prayer is foundational in our life and ministry. By prayer, we praise God, seek His direction, request His resources, and call upon the Holy Spirit to empower our ministries in the membership body.
  • Develop corporate prayer activities for the church body, such as concerts of prayer, prayer walks, prayer during our worship services, prayer invitations during worship time, and prayer vigils.
  • Initiate prayer seminars and studies so that Monroe Christian Church becomes a House of Prayer.

If you would like to explore being a prayer warrior in the MCC prayer ministry team, including duties of praying during and over Sunday services, please see JoAnn Nisley or Sandy Kitchen.
